The Woman in the Window Movie Review

The Woman in the Window is a 2021’s new psychologically stimulating movie. It is an American Movie with great sound effects and visuals. The Plot written seems to be very perpetual. It has a constant sense of suspense till the end. The plot, climax and ending had created tension but it wasn’t without occasional hollowness.

The movie sometimes becomes very unpredictable to predict “what’s next?”. Moving to the acting part, the acting of each cast felt so realistic and enduring from start to end. After watching the movie I feel it was interesting for the most part since it has lots of twists in it and the truth is revealed after a specific period of time that gains more attention. But the plot seems to be uninspired at times due to its very slow pace of scenes. It is a somewhat one-time watch of a movie. The acting of Amy Adam’s looked obligatory, due to which the movie fails to create that terror in people’s minds while viewing.

The movie thrives well in the climax part but it gradually takes the downhill while heading to the final reveal. The end results in confusion and reveals the suspense in so many ways that it is difficult to understand at a moment and looks so obvious. The story is a combination of suspense and psychology, where Dr. Anna Fox is the main lead dealing with agoraphobia and also going through the mystery in her neighborhood. The mystery actually starts when Ethan Russell, the son of Alistair Russell and Katherine Melli, becomes friends with Anna and pretends to be the harassed child of Russell. The end seems to be 50% interesting when it actually reveals the real face behind the whole happenings and 50% very ordinary and tedious.

The Woman in the Window Movie Critical Reception

On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, the movie holds an approval rating of 26% based on 178 reviews, with an average rating of 3.5/5. The reviews on site come across as good but average, since the movie has been criticized in many ways.
