With his carefree life on the line, a wealthy charmer poses as a ranch hand to get a hardworking farmer to sell her family’s land.
A California Christmas Movie Review
Joseph is the attractive son of a wealthy classic Cali SF real estate baron power couple. Unfortunately he sleeps with too many women and rides too many motorcycles, so the matriarch of his family sends him to Napa to buy a ranch to make room for a new shipping facility.
He has three weeks to close the deal until he is financially cut off, but things become complicated when he meets the beautiful Callie, the lead ranch hand. After getting mistaken for the new ranch hand he is forced to work long hours from a Airstream with no power, Joseph’s plan is to charm her into somehow selling the property, but guess he falls for her.
This film is like any other rom-com, you know set in a farm, a big city guys falls in love with a farm girl kinda cliché but it’s a good watch. And it’s not exactly a “Christmas” film as the title says. They’ve probably just forgotten that it was supposed to be a Christmas film, you only like get to see a little bit of Christmas in the ending.
Overall it’s a good film to watch, the chemistry between Josh and Lauren is amazing as they are a couple IRL too. And we loved to see how Leo is so much obsessed with wine and Manny a ranch hand who likes gaming. It’s a good film to watch might not be a good holiday film to watch but yeah give it a shot.

A Christmas Carole so far has a 65% on Rotten Tomatoes which is not bad considering it comes under the long list of Holiday movies as well as under Rom-Com.
6/10 is the IMDb rating which the movie Currently holds.

A California Christmas isn’t a Christmas film it’s a not a film you haven’t seen before but if you’re still looking forward in enjoying a cliché rom-com then go for it. It’s a watchable movie.
Fun fact, the leads Josh Swickard and Lauren Swickard who play Joseph aka Manny and Callie are married in real life and the chemistry between them just shows that. We like a good farm rom-com film. It’s streaming on Netflix.
